This blog is run by Sheeraz Khan (LemeSherry). I collect the minimum needed to run the site and understand what people read. I don't sell or share your data.

Cookies & local storage

Essential — your theme choice and your cookie-consent choice are stored on your device so the site remembers them. Always on; no third-party cookies.
Analytics — set only if you accept (see below).
Marketing — reserved for possible future advertising. Currently unused; no marketing cookies are set.

You can change your choice any time from “Cookie settings” in the settings panel — the gear at the bottom-right of any page.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If you accept analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which posts get read, with IP anonymisation on. No analytics script loads and no analytics cookies are set unless you accept. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.

Comments & likes

Comments and likes run on Google Firebase. By default you take part as a guest: the display name you type and your comment are stored along with an anonymous identifier assigned to your browser (Firebase Anonymous Authentication) — so you can delete your own comment and so likes aren't double-counted. No email or account is needed. Abuse protection uses Google reCAPTCHA via Firebase App Check.

Accounts & emails

Signing in is optional — it just lets your name fill in automatically and keeps your activity together. You can sign in with Google or with a one-tap email link (no password). If you do, I store your email address and a display name to identify you on comments. Your email is private — it is never shown publicly or sold.

I will only email you about new posts if you explicitly tick “Email me about new posts” — it's off by default. You can turn it off any time from your account panel, and every email includes an unsubscribe. Signing in to comment does not subscribe you to anything.

Your choices

Decline analytics — the site works fully without it.
Comment as a guest — no account or email required.
Delete your own comments from the post where you left them.
Turn post emails on/off in your account panel; unsubscribe any time.
Ask me to delete your account and data (see Contact) — handled promptly.
Clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.
